Tips for transports in July & August

In view of the upcoming summer holiday season we would like to offer you some tips for your transports in the months of July and August.
In various countries, there are specific holiday driving bans in place throughout the summer months. It is advisable to take these into account when planning transports that are normally unloaded on Mondays. These deliveries will possibly be faced with limited delays. In order to be well prepared during the summer holidays, we have listed the most important driving bans during the summer holiday season below:

• Germany:      every Saturday from 07:00 am to 08:00 pm from July 1 through Saturday August 26.
• Austria:       Every Saturday from 03:00 pm through Sunday until 10:00 pm and on national holidays from 00:00 to 10:00 pm. August 15 is a national holiday in Austria. Additional specific driving bans apply on certain main roads.
• France:           Five Saturdays: July 29 and August 5, 12, 19 and 26 from 07:00 am to 07:00 pm. At midnight, the Sunday driving ban commences. July 14 and August 15 are national holidays in France.
• Switzerland:     August 1 is a national holiday in Switzerland
