This beautiful end of summer takes us back to the events of the past few months. It was hot. It was, in fact, sweltering. Almost unbearable even, at times. However, in spite of it all, we kept on working. Siestas? Not for our team! Due to unexpected circumstances, we were short-handed at the office. As a result, not everyone got a fast service. Since a fast service is important to us, we wish to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
We are working very hard towards finding a solution. First of all, we are trying to find extra hands for the planning department, so that Inge and Stan can concentrate on orders and an efficient planning. We hope to get Transport Vermeulen back to its usual high standard of top service soon.
This month again, we are putting one of our collaborators in the spotlights: Ils.
Ils joined our family business 10 years ago and was active in social work before. She got acquainted with the transportation sector by immersion.
Ils is pleased with her broadly defined tasks: she is quality coordinator, prevention advisor, in charge of supplier contracts follow-up and the staff administration and salaries and takes care of the insurance files. A whole lot of responsibilities, but Ils manages to do even more every now and then.
Ils loves to unwind with her dogs. She takes her four-legged companions on long walks and trains them. Ils enjoys the little things. Her motto? Love the life you live, live the life you love.
